Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)

Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is the process of checking electrical appliances for safety to prevent electric shocks and fires. It involves visual checks for damage (cords, plugs, casings etc) and formal electrical tests using specialist equipment.

The Health and Safety Executive recommend annual testing for all portable electrical appliances.

Open Airway can conduct these assessments on your behalf to ensure your staff and workplace remain safe.

We will provide you with a comprehensive report for your records.

Many of our clients combine PAT testing with their fire risk assessment or legionella assessments.
