People Moving & Handling

Our one day people moving and handling course is designed to provide participants with essential knowledge and practical skills for safely moving and handling individuals in a care or healthcare setting.

The course covers the principles of safe manual handling, relevant legislation, risk assessment procedures, and the use of specialist equipment, such as hoists and transfer aids.

Attendees will learn how to minimise the risk of injury to both themselves and the person being moved, with a focus on best practice techniques and maintaining dignity and respect at all times.

Hands-on practical sessions, demonstrations and assessments form a key part of the training, ensuring participants can confidently apply their learning in real-world scenarios.
