Care Certificate

The Care Certificate is a set of core standards for new health and social care support workers in the UK, ensuring they have the fundamental skills, knowledge, and behaviours for safe, compassionate, high-quality care.

Developed by NHS England, Skills for Care, and Skills for Health, it's completed through a blend of theory and practical workplace assessment, covering key areas like duty of care, communication, and dignity. This framework underpins staff induction and is vital for demonstrating competence in compassionate care.

Our two day theory only course, dealing with the difficult to evidence elements, can then be expanded to include a further two days to cover the more practical requirements:

  • People Moving and Handling
  • Fire Safety
  • Emergency First Aid at Work
  • Medication Administration
