Introduction to Health and Safety

Course Introduction

This may be run as a one, two or three day course. It is aimed at all members of staff including new entrants to companies (as part of their induction training), Union Safety Reps and those holding supervisory positions in the workplace who wish to gain a base level knowledge of Health and Safety at Work.

Course Aims

By the end of the one day course the candidate will have gained knowledge of risk assessments, common workplace health and safety hazards and their control, managing health and safety, fire safety and awareness, accident investigation and first aid. Those enrolling for two or three day versions of the course will receive more in depth training in Fire Safety and Awareness, First Aid and Manual Handling. Please liaise with your tutor to discuss your needs prior to attending.
