| First Aid at Work |
| Course Introduction |
| This is now a three day course, and carries a qualification that enables the holder to act as a nominated First Aider. This course carries an accreditation from the Health and Safety Executive, and is suitable for all employees or prospective employees who wish to gain an accredited award to enable them to gain employment. |
| Course Award |
| Upon successful completion of the course delegates will be presented with the nationally accredited HSE First Aid at Work certificate which is valid for three years. This award would enable the holder to act as a First Aider in the workplace under the 2009 regulations. |
| Annual Refresher Training |
| In order to remain within qualification the attendee must attend retraining for a period of two days every three years. Open Airway Training will inform you of your due date.
Annual refresher training is strongly recommended by the Health and Safety Executive for all First Aid at Work courses. Whilst this is not yet a legal requirement, it is considered best practice. Annual training sessions are 3 hours in duration, where the attendee will be given chance to learn new protocols and procedures, and to reduce the chance of skills fade.
