| Advanced First Aid |
| Course Introduction |
| A more specialist course covering spinal management, medical gasses, airway management, defibrillation etc. This one day course may be extended to two days to include the Appointed Persons input. The course will be conducted by a First Aid Instructor whose qualifications are acceptable to the Health and Safety Executive for teaching statutory First Aid. |
| Course Aims |
| By the end of the course candidates will be able to demonstrate the essential and advanced knowledge and skills needed to deal with life threatening emergencies in the workplace. The course tutor will carry out an ongoing assessment and all successful students will receive a certificate as recognised by the Health and Safety Executive. This certificate is valid for a period of three years. |
