  Emergency First Aid for the Public

 

Course Introduction

 
A basic three hour course for individuals who wish to gain an insight into emergency procedures and attain a certificate of attendance.
 

Course Aims

 
By the end of the course candidates will be able to demonstrate the essential knowledge and skills required to deal with a cardiac arrest. The course tutor will carry out an on-going assessment and all successful students will receive a certificate of attendance.

Session 1 - Introduction and Welcome

Session 2 - Arriving at the Scene

Session 3 - Action at an Emergency

Session 4 - Primary Assessment

Session 5 - Secondary Assessment

Session 6 - Principles of Resuscitation
